International Migrations in Theoretical Concepts

Summary/Abstract: International migrations are one of the most dynamic processes in international relations. They had an impact on the shape and development of these relations. The main trends of contemporary migrations are: globalization, politicization, variety of migration types, variety of migration fl ows and feminization. Various disciplines of science pose mainly questions about causes, course and consequences of international migration for the countries of migrants’ origin, for the host countries, for the relationship between these countries and the migrants themselves. The aim of this article is to present research investigations trying to analyze the nature of migration. The authors name most of the theoretical visions as theories, even though they have no signs of theory. They are partial ascertainments of phenomena related to international migrations, which are based on achievements of various disciplines: demography, geography, economics, psychology, law and political science.
