Intelligentsia, Orthodox tradition and problems of all-Russian integration in the beginning of the XXI century

Summary/Abstract: The author pays attention to new, insufficiently explored problems of participation of intelligentsia in public life of Russia in the beginning of the XXI century. Special attention of the researcher is given to social and politi-cal activity of Russian Orthodox Church, to its complicated interrelations with state authorities and society. High emphasis is placed on efforts, possi-bilities and perspectives of participation of Russian intelligentsia in modern social transformations.
