Summary/Abstract: From Katherine Mansfield to Bonnie Burnard. This paper is a comparative close reading of two short stories: Katherine Mansfield’s The Wind Blows and Bonnie Burnard’s Music Lessons. The comparison leads to more general conclusions about the importance of the image of the child in post-colonial literatures.
