PROŠIRENJE EVROPSKE UNIJE: LISABONSKI UGOVOR I ZAPADNI BALKAN
EU ENLARGEMENT - TREATY OF LISBON AND WESTERN BALKANS

Summary/Abstract: In last 15 years the EU almost doubled the number of its member states, and enlargement became almost continous phenomena in the EU. Article 49 of the Treaty on European Union, supplemented by the Copenhagen criteria, provides the framework for enlargement. In this sense, the paper discusses the process of EU enlargement in the context of the new Lisbon solutions, conecting with the possibility of forthcoming EU enlargement in the Western Balkans.
