Summary/Abstract: The objective of the analysis presented in the article is the alteration of classification thought operation in the seventh year of a child growth. The analysis was made in two aspects: social –how social-demographic characteristics are related with the development of classification operation, and educational – how different training methods influence the development of this thought operation. On the base of integrated analyses of these two aspects the conclusion, that systematic and relevant prepared pre-school education could be beneficial to a child’s cognitive development, was formulated. It is necessary to make the further researches to determination, what kind of environment is disadvantage for a child’s development. The specificity of the factors in the child’s environment, which could influence negatively his cognitive development, was identified as the most actual field of the research in the future.
