Courtship as a Significant Indicator of Changes in One Type of Traditional Communication

Summary/Abstract: The article deals with courtship from the perspective of communication. It focuses on the meanings and forms with which the cultural memory is reflected and reinforced by specific rules of courtship in the context of social regulation. It tracks changes in courtship by comparing the constitutive signals found the traditional model with its current conceptualization. It is based on the results of research done in 2006-2007 among secondary-school students ages 15-19 from the urban schools in Prague and the rural schools of selected regions of Moravia.
