Summary/Abstract: The study is aimed at the narratological analysis of three narrative texts by Christa WOLF Moskauer Novelle (1961), Nachdenken über Christa T. (1968) and Kein Ort. Nirgends (1979). The central terms are “perspective” and “the perspective structure”. In the first part of the study the author defines the term “perspective”. He summarizes the narrative techniques, leading to a closed or open perspective structures that particularly arise from the relationship between a narrator and characters. All text and non-text perspectives are located on individual levels of the communication model of narrative texts. Explanation and comprehension of the openness or closeness of the perspective structure is happening against the background of so called “themes of culture” (M. E. OPLER). In the case of Christa WOLF and the cultural-political context of the selected narrative texts, a theme of culture can be concretized under conditions of the aesthetic-ideological conception of socialist realism. The narratological analysis has shown that the narrative text Kein Ort. Nirgends supports the most intensive narrative techniques leading to the pole of an open perspective structure. Thus, within the purview of the modern aesthetics of writing, it acts as an anti-theme of socialist realism, accompanied by penalties for non-support of official cultural doctrine.
