The Disintegration of Identity in the Prose of Janko Polić Kamov

Summary/Abstract: The disintegration is one of categories of primary importance for description of avantgarde works, including the works of Janko Polic Kamov. In his writings the presence of this category is particularly noticeable in the interpretation of the subject of personal identity. The article contains the analysis of this problem performed on the example of these Kamov's prose texts which are the most representative on that score. The writer focuses his attention on the activity of individual self- consciouness founded mainly on the intensíve subjective self-reflection disclosing in the individual his dynamic non- identity which is not determined by a lack of identity but a lack of its constant features.
