Summary/Abstract: An incisive analysis of the current status quo in Kosovo, this article argues that the province's international minders are frantically seeking an exit strategy as challenges to their authority grow stronger, and the evidence of their own mishandling of the situation since 1999 becomes irrefutable. The article argues that in the end, the UN will placate the Albanians, probably with independence, at the expense of the Serbian side, for the simple reason that the former have the potential to become very dangerous if they don't get their way.
