Summary/Abstract: This article analyses general EU policy, its development, strategic goals and perspectives in the field of education and vocational training. The purpose of this article is to overview the main assumptions for general educational policy in the European Union and main tasks for the Lithuanian policy in the field of Vocational education and training.
