Summary/Abstract: The article deals with some peculiarities of “The Hagiography of Evphrosyn Sinozerski”. The conducted analysis shows that Hagiographies written in the 17th century are a source of interesting and rich material for the History of the Language. The genre of hagiography undergoes transformation and in the text we can observe some changes caused by the processes taking place in everyday speech in the target period .
