Summary/Abstract: It is a matter of common knowledge that the political discourse makes use of language for persuasive and manipulative purposes. The communist discourse tends to force language into patterns meant to hide the unpleasant reality. The only way language can defend itself against excessive use of cliché is by means of parodical and ironical approach of reality. This article aims to prove that literature has a significant role in exposing the manipulating policy of the communist wooden language in its attempt to manipulate people’s thought and behavior. In this respect, parody proves to be an appropriate instrument of communication and collaboration between author and reader. Such contexts help to deconstruct this particular kind of discourse and show up its phoniness.
