Non-Human Primates’ Culture as a Challenge to Social Sciences

Summary/Abstract: Article presents latest findings in cultural primatology. Author calls for incorporating a problem of non human primate’s culture, especially chimpanzee’s culture, into sociological deliberations. Sociologist mustn’t ignore a new scientific discipline concerning culture. Author reports a primatologist’s understanding of culture and presents fieldwork and experimental researches on that topic. Also he evaluates primtologist’s conclusions. The studies about culture in non human primates are presented as a challenge to social science.
