Summary/Abstract: The “Family Constellations” method was created by the German philosopher Bert Hellinger at the end of the 20th century. It pursues to understand the ways in which family systems function and the ways in which members can give up dysfunctional patterns passed on and taken over transgenerationally, thus fulfilling one’s personal destiny. From this systemic perspective, men and women have well established gender roles, interactions based on a few specific principles named by Hellinger “Orders of Love,” which by being followed assure harmony, balance, respect and love among members.
