Summary/Abstract: This study examines developments in the organizational culture of some multinational companies in Hungary as well as the various cultures of foreign managers, native managers, and employees of such companies. The goal of this study is to reveal relationships between the national culture and organizational cultures and to pinpoint how we might measure alternatives of co-existing cultures as well as solutions to cross-cultural movements in 20th-century Hungary. The author also intends to define basic terms and participants in cross-cultural existence as well as to highlight the importance and the possible consequences of such trends. Seventeen characteristics and skills examined in this study. The present work uses an ipsative technique to research the cultures of 31 foreign and 73 Hungarian managers of 7 multinational companies in Hungary, to study organizational cultures by prioritizing personal characteristics necessary to rank employee aptitude and to research personal characteristics ranked by 242 employees of multinational companies in Hungary.The findings can be viewed as the first step towards a new type of thinking and research method on the internal and external coexistence of national and organizational cultures.
