Summary/Abstract: This study is about Imre Mikó, who was born in 1911 in Bánffyhunyad. According to the author, he was the last polyhistor in Transylvania. Mikó’s life was poor, full of struggles and hard work. . Mikó combined in himself the politician, who had Transylvanian-Hungarian sense of vocation, the scientist, who achieved the revision of the Transylvanian-Hungarian social view, and the writer, who revitalized Transylvanian-Hungarian public spiritedness.
