Summary/Abstract: Romania has firmly supported The Briand Project for European Union at the General Assembly of the League of Nations (1929, 1930) and in the Commission of Studies for the European Union(1931). More than that, the Romanian Foreign Minister, G. G. Mironescu, promoted a pragmatic strategy of pan-European integration in stages, beginning with an economical Central-European integration.
