Summary/Abstract: Emancipation ideas of the critical theories of society started showing up in Horkheimer’s works, but Habermas first offered their collaborative meaning and introduced those ideas as a theory under the same name. Emancipation of Horkheimer and Adorno manifests itself a lot earlier, in the form of critical understanding of existing relations. Dialectical theory permits knowledge to show itself as a norm of given reality, within the frame of existing historical laws. That is in fact the understanding that interpretation of the Frankfurt school can not represent the traditional analytical – empirical beliefs, because the analytical laws are often in reality marked as cases without realistic knowledgeable state and beliefs of individual existence. Positive thinking counts on thinking of critical theory about values of which they talk about, in, real irrational dezisionism. The critical theory of society reposes itself as, a very knowledgeable emancipators practice, which for the goal of social works doesn’t take what is on the outside, but norms of dialectical societal development, based on historical connection. Followers of the critical society theory are working on tapering discussions without resolving the main societal problems, only proposing endless questions. Exit from such unsolved issues, must be found in the resolution from issues of the civil society itself. The idea of emancipation media practice, which is the foundation of all modern discussions of the civil society, is actually founded within Frankfurt’s intellectual circle – critical theory of society. The main aim was to enlighten their ideas, and mark them as the first steps of development of the modern, civil society – which is nowadays widely discussed and established as an ultimate goal.
