Nation or Community- Contradictions of Bosniaks’ National Development

Summary/Abstract: This article points some aspects of the process of shaping Bosniak nation in the end of 20th century, especially its relation toward category of state, that is national state and category of ethnicity in national identity. The main accent is on position of Bosniak elite, religious and secular, in the break of Yugoslavia and its response to historical possibilities provoked by that fall. The main possibility was establishment of Bosniak national state.
