Summary/Abstract: Review of the novel “Nakit gospođe Xen” / “Mrs. Xen’s Jewlery” (published by Planjax; Tešanj, 2007) by Bosnian author Senada Kadribašić. A successful literary treatment of wide and complex thematic frame – human fate marked by the war in Bosnia, life of a refugee in the setting of big European cities, the hiding of a war criminal, are just some of the themes covered – is one of the main values of the novel. Characters were successfully developed, there is a great symbolic transformation of elements of reality, clear and precise speech, and skilfull built composition, are also listed as important attributes of this “readable” and interesting action novel.
