Summary/Abstract: The word „experiment“ suggests that we are talking about something new, unique and creative. As far as Jan Assmann is concerned, it is is a personal view (worldview) that an author brings new into the historical development or tradition. The aim of this study is to outline the access to literary text and interpretation of historical juncture through the analysis of a worldview. After several remarks on how the concepts of „individual“ and „collective memory“ are productive when interpreting texts and how an ideology is not, I define the term „thematic continuum“ which Robert Pynsent uses in his essays. Then I try to persuade the reader of its potential focusing on the three illustrative examples: the canon of Jewish culture, the continuity in discontinuity at a first glance between the two literary styles or codes (Avant-garde and Socialist Realism) and the continuity of personal worldview (that of Emanuel Moravec whose career development from a member of the First Republic establishment to a Nazi collaborator is still striking).
