NECESSITY IN LITERATURE – SEVERAL REMARKS ON THE DIFFERENTIATION OF SPATIAL AND TEMPORAL FORM IN ART

Summary/Abstract: The article brings up a polemic with modernistic attempts to the question of the traditional differentiation of spatial and temporal form in art. This questioning is mostly based on equivocation of the term of time that can be articulated in three different ways. In contrast to these attempts, the understanding of essential temporality of literature provides a genuine tool for building up new, sequence-based poetics.
