Pornography and postmodern sexual kitsch

Summary/Abstract: The material deconstruction of the sexual body (Eizo case) is designed to dissolve the border between natural and technological, the same way postmodernism has overthrown the soul-body paradigm. From here, pornography penetrates our intimate space in the shape of gadgets and kitsch. The result is the occurrence of simulated unprofessional pornography – amateur pornography. Sexuality’s surrender before a derisory fragmentation of the bodies is made concurrent with a reassertion of the erotic reference system. The latter suffers a conceptual transformation through what pornography administrates under the auspices of the new transgressive methods offered by the principles of consumption. And the important thing in this new paradigm is not the process of consumption and objectification of the sexual body, by the elimination of the human’s natural state, implying an instinctual sexuality, concealed by the libido code and the instatement of an artificial state, constructed on the mechanical fragmentation of the sexual ritual.
