Summary/Abstract: In the countries with a consolidated democracy, but also in post-communist Romania, the turnout has experienced a downward evolution. In our study we have made a quantitative statistical analysis, a look at the level and dynamics of electoral participation, blank and null ballots in Romania and Dobrudja region since 1992. Dobrudja region’s electoral analysis reveals, on the one hand, that the Dobrudja region’s trend is similar to the national one, but on the other hand, it has some distinctive features.
