NEURAL CORRELATES OF OBJECT CATEGORIZATION

Summary/Abstract: After briefly defining the process of categorization, the present article tries to review the neural correlates of this process. The main areas involved are the temporal lobe and the prefrontal cortex, but the findings also speak about distributed neural networks that include other regions as well. Being still in a middle of an unsolved puzzle when talking about the brain, the article ends with some unanswered questions in hope of future advancement of research.
