Summary/Abstract: Meanwhile, the economic changes that have taken place in the Czech Republic over the last fifteen years also feature in an interview with filmmakers Vít Klusák and Filip Remunda. They have recently released a critically acclaimed documentary about their "Czech Dream" project, which caused quite a stir here last year. The project was based on a massive advertising campaign for the grand opening of what was supposed to be an amazing new hyper¬market. The fact that the campaign was a complete hoax, which still managed to fool thousands of Czech shoppers, sparked off a huge media outcry and raised a number of uncomfortable questions regarding the Czech Republic's nascent consumer society.
