Summary/Abstract: In the article titled “Breaking of steriotypes: The work of E. Dones interpreted from a feminist perspective”, the author aims at deciphering the manners and approaches that facilitate the comprehension of the main protagonist, her steriotype in Hana (2007) - a novel written by E. Dones. To meet the intentions to achieve the main concern envisioned right in the title, the author makes clear that the image of female in literature has been always framed within stereotypes. And this has occurred because of the roles the readership has dressed them up with. And if there are changes, which make the steriotypes unqualified for the role the society propelsfor them, ambiguities and dilemma come out immediately. Further more, in order to clarify the process of protagonist comprehension it is worth mentioning and analyzing how protagonist identity is constructed and how identity narrative counts a lot to highlight the whole process conceived as an entity. In this light, Hana the main protagonist in the novel demonstrates faithfully the authenticity she holds, as it reflects the Hana’s Psyche which certainly exposes her inner drives and dilemma. In tune with reading approach we perceive how she constructs also a notion of sense, which actually becomes a sort of regulatory between her persona and her mask(s) and eventually she seems to succeed in reconcilating her world of canonic culture and idiosyncratic world of individual beliefs with her inner desires and expectations interdependent on the world of new culture she lately appertained. And in the analysis of the stories, which certainly collocate round her and make this novel qualify as biographical, she displaces herself into many contexts being dressed up with circumstantial roles. However initially, she is positioned as a female raised by her uncle’s family; then she commences her college studies; then she denotes herself a man named Mark Doda in order to protect her family and herself; then she experiences sufferings and psychological turmoils; then she puts up with binary identity and so on, until she ends up emigrating to USA and adjusting herself into the new culture/ new contex for her – a process which psychologically addresses her in search of third space. Actually the remarkable changes in her life mostly imposed, because of the male dominance and marginalization of female in the social context although in the season of Socialist Realism, point out her image as dual Dasein, who eventually strives to survive by embracing the laws and principles of the Canon of Lek Dukagjini. In pursuit to this analysis, nevertheless the retrospective aspect of the novel comprehensively amplifies the tendencies of the protagonist to appropriate well enough this Canon, obviosuly to define herself a male in the family and appearantly to perfom such a role even in a broader context - context of Rrnaja conceived as an entity.
