Review of Sarajevo's family Jelić fund in the Archives of Bosnia and Herzegovina

Summary/Abstract: Rad donosi opći pregled arhivskog fonda porodice Jelić, na osnovi kojeg se mogu istraživati različiti aspekti prošlosti ne samo jedne trgovačke porodice već i šire društvene zajednice u vremenu s kraja 18. do početka 20. stoljeća. Family collections are very important sources for history studies, especialy if you are focused on economical, family and everyday aspects of life. One of the most interesting family funds in the Archives of Bosnia and Herzegovina is the one related to the merchant family Jelić from Sarajevo. This article contains a short presentation of the Jelić family fund contents, and among numerous documents, Gavro Jelić passports and some samples of merchandize are introduced.
