Czech Republic and Romania's Democratization Reforms in Line With the European Union's Demands

Summary/Abstract: After the developments in Globalization and post cold war; significant changes can be seen from the European Union's enlargement policy. EU has demanded reforms based on modern and political democracy to incorporate the countires which gained their independences in the Eastern Europe after the cold war. Within the demands of these reform requests; EU aims to improve the quality of the democracy of the countries that will be incorporated. In this context; firstly it is referred (mentioned) the concept of democracy and EU's democratization requests. Afterwards; Czech Republic and Romania's which were participated to the European Union to its fifth (2004) and sixth (2007) expansion wave, what kind of democratic reforms were carried out in accordance with the EU's demans are examined.
