Summary/Abstract: The hymn of Asdren, our national anthem, is naturally integrated into the Albanian national hymnody and it clearly demonstrates the relationship with its Rumanian source of origin: Barasani Marsh. Its philological history, proved through thematic key words, could be summarized as follows: Our national anthem is fed by the Rumanian marsh not only because of the impulsive Balkan ethos and the congenial fears, but as well as of a paneuropian context where both communities have been (Rumanian and Albanians) interacting. Thus both hymns have a common Austrian (previously might be even German) musical motive, whereas the Rumanian marsh has been used as the text of origin for the Albanian national anthem, - this proves that culture and art is the pre-political stage of the EU idea. Growing from its source to an original song, our national anthem has been kneaded with authentic ethnic and historical elements which as well fit to the literary features, conditioned from hymn as a patriotic lyric. After the statues of national anthem won on 1912, Asdreni poetry has competed and integrated at the same time in the family of other hymnody texts (which aimed or not the statues of national anthem) written by a number of Albanian famous writers (Fishat, Noli, Poradeci, Shuterqi, Koliqi, Floqi etc.), which in a way or another mostly followed its literary symbols and thematic messages. Thus the whole Albanian hymnody through its discourse and codes (flag, unity, betrayal, weapons, trust/besa, nation and faith etc.) could organically be part of the national literature.
