Summary/Abstract: The Constitutional reform is perceived by many as an opportunity to embark upon a comprehensive overhaul of the Romanian political framework. However, if it is to be successful, the goals of the constitutional amendments have to be achievable, clear and limited. Otherwise, the initiators of constitutional changes run the risk of raising public expectations to levels that will be impossible to meet.
