Sovietization of Historiography during Cultural Staklinism. New Perspectives

Summary/Abstract: This study will adress Stalinism as the 'revolution imposed' on the countries of East and Central Europe and in doing so it will analyze the cultural aspects of the process, questioning its regional policies and practicies, with specific attention to historical writing. It will examine the dialectics between intention and implementation arguing the priority of internal (local) actors of the process, offering specific refference to the Romanian case and to aspects of its deployment in a specific history production centre, namely the Cluj History Institute.
