Privatisation Problems in the Republic of Belarus: Ways of their Solution

Summary/Abstract: The paper analyses privatization processes in the Republic of Belarus. Preconditions for state ownership reforms, stages of reform realization, and effectiveness of fulfillment of the stated aims for the period are reviewed. The analysis of privatization results for three periods (1991–1992, 1993–1999, 2000–2006) has been carried out, and achieved results and drawbacks are pointed out. In the final part of the work main mistakes are highlighted and several recommendations for their elimination are provided.
