The legislative activity of Bp. Edward Eugeniusz Samsel (2000-2003)

Summary/Abstract: The undertaken task of the article is to indicate the main lines of the legislative work of Elk bishop in 2000-2003. The choice of the topic was due to the lack of academic dissertations on it. On the other hand, while tending to describe the whole image of Bp. E. E. Samsel (1940-2003) as a head of the local Church in Elk, the presentation of his legislative achievements seems to be very important. The article is mainly based on the archival sources of the Elk Diocese which are collected in its archive and curia office. In addition to archival sources the author uses “The Official Chronicle of the Elk Diocese” which is the official magazine of the Elk Diocese where documents issued by Bp. Samsel were published.
