Summary/Abstract: In this article the authors try to present the position of “Rzeczpospolita” newspaper in estimating results of participation in Iraq by Polish army in 2003-2008. Despite small political, economical and military profits, Polish Republic proved, that she was able to face the threat of Saddam Hussein regime, and was strong enough to perform duties of a USA ally, even against the criticism of international opinion. Perhaps, if there was no military intervention in Iraq, the threat of Hussein regime would be similar to the Third “Nazi” Reich menace in the time before the Second World War, when world passively looked at the growing power of “Nazi” Germany. The Polish experience of Nazi occupation was a reason why Poland supported USA policy in the campaign against Saddam Hussein dictatorship.
