Summary/Abstract: The article undertakes an attempt to systemize Polish studies in the philosophy of education in 1989-2009. Such academic investigations were headed by the leading paradigms of contemporary philosophical currents. The author (a) concentrates on the realistic philosophy basing on the anthropology and ethics of the consequent Thomism of Mieczysław Gogacz, (b) indicates possibilities of constructing the theory of education basing on them, and (c) draws possible consequences.
