Summary/Abstract: The author constructs and traces the possible genealogy of todays’ feminism in Slovakia, particularly the feminist publishing and educational project ASPEKT. She draws back on the Slovak women writers from the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries (Elena Maróthy-Šoltésová, Terézia Vansová, Ľudmila Podjavorinská, Timrava), their engagement in the nationalist movements, their sometimes conflicting views on emancipation, women’s writing etc.
