Summary/Abstract: The study is focusing on the film creation of the Marx Brothers, not only like the godfathers of the theater of the absurd, but like the visionaries who expressed in the famous movie “A Night at the Opera” (1935) the principles of the unborn postmodern art. Their “cretin” genius was deep in deed, so they are expressing in the delirious final scene the essence of the postmodern creation. And that will be not an aesthetic system, but only an early “receipt” for a future mannerism.
