Summary/Abstract: The article presents a rhymed receipt about the philosopher’s stone which is a part of an alchemist’s manuscript from the first half of the 16th century, currently held in the Prague Castle Archive as a part of the manuscript library of the Metropolitan Chapter of St. Vitus. The article reflecting the history of alchemy at the end of the Middle and at the beginning of the New Ages deals with the characteristics of the manuscript from the textological point of view, especially with its structure and aspects of its syntax. Finally the analysis includes the lexis concerning the alchemy.
