Summary/Abstract: Social assistance reąuires information, knowledge and skills in various spheres, decisions demand different ideas so common decision of the specialists ensures effective social assistance. One of the alternative solutions is team work, because the organization has to find ways and means how to mobilize the abilities and energy of its members in order to achieve the main objective i.e. to ensure teaching and learning conditions through which children and young people could acquire competence and ability to solve problems, make decisions, would be ready to adapt to changes and accept responsibility for their constant learning. With reference to the analysis of scientific research, this article reveals the assumptions of organizing a sočiai pedagogic assistance team in an educational institution. A research was carried out and its results show: 1. The activity and orientation of specialists, class teachers and administration in an educational institution tovvards team work; 2. What forms a social pedagogic assistance team and what their work guidelines are; 3. Motives forcing to participate in team work; 4. Sočiai educators' readiness to take part in team work.
