Jubilee scientific conference of the University of National and World Economy’s Law Faculty dedicated to prof. Stefan Bobchev

Summary/Abstract: On October 17th 2013 an Annual Scientific Conference was held at The University of National and World Economy's Law Faculty dedicated to the 160th Anniversary from the birth of Prof Stefan Bobchev Conference was attended by researchers and scientists from different Law Schools all over the country, the Institute of Legal Studies, Academy of the Ministry of Interior, Ph.D. candidates, and students. Conference was organized in one plenary session and two workshops. Preentations made by Prof. I. Sazdov and Prof. G. Petrova focused on the public and professional activity of the great scientist and a noble Bulgarian. Scientific report by Prof. S. Naoumova outlined the legal-socioogical views of Prof. Bobchev, a work which places him among the founders of the European legal-sociological school of thought. The first workshop focused on the problems of the history and the theory of law. The second workshop was dedicated to the civil law and international public law aspects of the European perspectives of Bulgaria. The perfect organization provided participants with the opportunity for a vital and fruitful discussion on the main conference topic and on all the presentations. Particularly valuable was the contribution made by young researchers, Ph.D. candidates, and students.
