Relationship between globality of changes and locality of development

Summary/Abstract: The processes of globalization are changing the perception of spatial dimension development in economy, social sphere and ecosystem. The research in this area evolves from the identification of spatial dimension of the relationship between national and international changes in the direction of the identification and analysis of relationship between global and local scale. Such a point of view has become the source of formulation of a new economic, social and spatial category, which is glocalisation. This publication signals selected aspects of the impact of external − compared with a small city − conditions affecting local development. In particular it presents reflections on the relationship between globality of changes and locality of development.
