Local development in the context of the decision-making processes of local government

Summary/Abstract: This article shows some selected aspects of development process in municipalities. The author analyzes the decision-making process and specific characteristics of the decisionmaker in public and private entities. As a result similarities and differences of the investment process in both kinds of entities are presented. The role of the human factor as the basic determinant of effective management within the municipalities is also emphasized.
