Summary/Abstract: In the article the role of opposition and intelligentsia in formation of civil society in certain post communist countries of Eastern Europe is ana-lyzed. As an example authors show example cases of Belarus and Montene-gro. In these countries opposition and the intelligentsia have to balance be-tween the transformed state and formed civil society.
