Summary/Abstract: Kierkegaard’s Christ. This article argues that the person of Christ is a key for understanding Kierkegaard’s work as a whole. The strategy of publishing both signed and pseudonymous works, and explicitly Christian works together with philosophical ones, is the best proof of this, because it draws a relation between the announce of the Christian faith and existential reflexion on the passion for existence. Moreover, the originality of Kierkegaard’s christology lies in the emphasis it places on the moment as the contemporaneity of time with the eternal, as well as on paradox and on the incognito. Finally, it is highly relevant today insofar as it stresses the development of the human subject, the struggle against anxiety, freedom in the truth – and because it raises irony and humour to the status of theological categories.
