Summary/Abstract: Today the phrase “the persecution of the Jews by the Communist regime” probably brings to mind the anti-Jewish delirium that aff ected the Communist Party and most of the population in 1952. The aim of this text is to map the fates of those who, unlike Communist Party General Secretary Rudolf Slánský, considered themselves to be Jews, made genuine eff orts to help the Jewish community, and were harassed by state bodies for doing so.
