Summary/Abstract: Review of the book by Agnieszka Karpowicz Kolaż. Awangardowy gest kreacji. Themerson, Buczkowski, Białoszewski [Collage. The avant-garde gesture of creation. Themerson, Buczkowski, Białoszewski], Warsaw 2007. The reviewed book is a comprehensive study of the output of three Polish men-of-letters of 20th century: Stefan Themerson, Leopold Buczkowski, Miron Białoszewski. Ms. Karpowicz’s main research interest is the field of literary collage; however, the attempts made at a more in-depth analysis of the phenomenon are failed. The book cannot be treated as a successful monograph of the problem; still, the study may be an interesting source of knowledge on the literary practice of the Polish poets and writers under discussion.
