Politics of Lifelong Learning in European Union and Croatia

Summary/Abstract: The fact that a man learns whole his life is not new in educational institutions or various social situations. The news is the all the more relevant place the lifelong learning occupies in pubic politics. In this article the author indicates when and on what basis European politics of lifelong learning are shaped and how Croatian educational politics corresponds to contemporary challenges. Special attention is given to Lisbon process and shaping of the politics of lifelong learning in a society based on knowledge. Following of European trends in Croatia is analyzed and domestic efforts for shaping politics of lifelong learning.
