Summary/Abstract: The history and the histories of I. L. Caragiale . The study is another part of a system which describes, through an original critical concept (“Caragialumea” – “The World-by-Caragiale”), the universe of I. L. Caragiale (1852-1912) as an ironic space where the artistic structure is fitted in the patterns of reality. In his literary works we are focusing on the reflection of the Romanian history of the second half of the 19th century and the beginning of the 20th century. In fact, the history becomes here a splendid pretext for his ironies against any imposture from the past, as well as from the present.
