Housing conditions of Bulgarian population during 20(h century — changes and problems

Summary/Abstract: Review of the housing fund living conditions of Bulgarian popu¬lation during the previous century is done in the article. Data from housing fund censuses is analyzed. Changes in buildings' number, buildings' structure by construction, number of floors, type and size of buildings according to the number of dwellings are presented in the "buildings part". Increase of dwellings' number, dwellings by type and size — size of living and useful area, number of rooms, type of tenure, number of households in the dwelling, number of persons per room, size of living area per person, availability and comfort characteristics of the kitchen, availability of electricity, water supply system, sewerage, bathroom and toilet, availability of durables are presented for the dwellings. Finally, two basic conclusions are done — quantitative characteristics of population living conditions are good, but in qualitative aspect — there are a lot of problems to be solved during the 21th century.
